The Texas Accredited Commercial Specialist (TACS) certification teaches you how to represent clients, perform market analyses, negotiate, and understand property development and management. The TACS will also equip you with skills in marketing and business development. This certification shows that you’ve pursued an intensive course of study in commercial real estate and that you’re dedicated to providing the highest level of service to clients.

TACS 1: Introduction to Commercial Real Estate is a required course for REALTORS® to become eligible to obtain the Texas Accredited Commercial Specialist (TACS). certification. It covers:
• Differences between Commercial Real Estate and Residential Real Estate
• Working as a Commercial Real Estate Agent
• Key Players/Stakeholders
• CRE Investment Considerations
• Understanding the Use of and Application of CRE Financial Analysis
• Asset/Property Market - Capital Markets
• And more…

Participants earn 30 hours of core credit toward the required Salesperson Annual Education (SAE) or broker’s license. Alternatively, each TACS course counts for 10 hours of Continuing Education (MCE) credit.
